Installation was easy. The instructions called for a base cap that would be welded to the frame of every trailer I know of, like mine, so I looked everywhere for it but found it to be pretty standard. This is essentially the "second" hole that the jack goes through in the tongue frame to hold the jack upright. Speaking of spirit level, the cap, which you can remove from the top with the spirit level inside, has a silly little rubber grommet that's supposed to keep the water out. It doesn't hold up very well and you have to push the gasket in a bit with your nails so it stays just enough when you flip it so the gasket doesn't get pinched when you unscrew the lid. It's possible, but it hurts a little. Also on the first day I saw a small leveling bubble in the lid. By the second day the bubble is gone so there must have been a leak in the lid that allowed the liquid to drain out so there are no more bubbles. The rest of the connector works as advertised.
