    Mixed Feelings: Oral Care

    I have very ill fitting dentures and was looking for something that would hold, not ooze and help soften gums. This stuff is probably not the same. Advantages. It has a really short exposure time. After a few minutes, my teeth locked tight without moving. When I take out my dentures it is very easy to remove the excess from the gums.     As my dentures have always been loose since the day I got them this is the best adhesive I have found. That depends on my day, but it will surely take 10 to 12 hours. I can even eat nuts and hard objects.

I was on the verge of panicking when I looked at the paper and the instructions said you could feel a slight shimmer but it would go away quickly.     So I've recently had upper dentures fitted and when I say recently I mean about a week ago at the time of this writing. Because of this, I couldn't put glue on my gums, but I wouldn't leave the house without glue. I just wouldn't feel safe enough.     Great product for denture wearers with dry mouth!

    I wear dentures and suffer from severe dry mouth syndrome. I always have to use some kind of glue to hold my upper denture in place. I've used pretty much EVERYTHING on the market! Before using SECURE denture glue I used Fixodent glue which did what it was supposed to do but when I removed my upper denture it felt like the entire upper layer of my palate was being ripped off.     Terrible. I use it partially while waiting for the mouth to heal enough to move on to the next step in the implantation phase. I started using Fixodent with Scope. I liked it except Scope gave me mouth ulcers so I looked to Revain and found this. I wanted to love it like that. It won't last all day.     Hold on. But I'm having trouble applying it in a smooth, thin layer. A heating hose with a small hairdryer helps a little. I'll try the insensitive type to see how it maps.     It may have soothing aloe and myrrh in it, but it was a bit of a sting for me. (more noticeable on lower gum than upper) It wasn't unbearable and only lasted a little over a minute, but it burned, not tingled. Initially the grip was better than P###grip or F###dent. BUT it was no better than the other two as it lasted all day. After 4 or 5 hours it had to be reapplied. It costs more and produces fewer products than the other two. I had no problems removing it.
