I purchased these socks for my 4 year old son. He is learning to play ice hockey. He prefer to wear socks under his shin guards/knee pads. It is hard to find socks that long for little kids. My son is anything but tall and most long athletic socks still only come halfway up his shins. These solved that issue, they come up just over his knees, perfect for our purposes. They stay up well, and are not to wide or tight on the calf. These could easily be used in a number of sports such as soccer, baseball or basketball. The color is a wonderful bright red and true black. My son was so excited when he saw them and the wonderful bright colors. They did not appear to have run when they were washed and came out of the laundry still with nice vibrant colors.The socks also held there shape through the laundry cycles.Because of our intended purpose the non slip on the bottom of the socks doesn't mean much to us. That said the rubber is thick and sticky. Not sticky in the sense that they will pick up bit of dust, fur, ect. Just that they slip easily.We may need to buy more if these considering how much time he spends skating.
