Review on Youngstown Glove 09 9083 10 L Titan Kevlar by Justin Jeppi

I bought this glove for its claimed cut and puncture resistance as I work in an environment that requires regular handling of sharp metal and glass and the risk of hand injury from improper gloves is a real possibility. The product description for these gloves states that they meet ANSI/ISEA Cut Level A5 (out of A9) and ANSI/ISEA Puncture Level 4 (out of 5). The actual ANSI rating can be seen in the last image I uploaded. Abrasion Resistance Level 4 Cut Resistance Level 2 Tear Resistance Level 4 Puncture Resistance Level 2 Therefore these gloves do NOT have a 4 out of 5 puncture resistance rating. They have a 2 out of 5 rating for both cut and puncture resistance. What that means in the real world, I'm not sure! They have adequately protected my hand and are holding up relatively well, I've been using them for about 7 days of hard work and their condition can be seen in my photos. On the palms, the thread falls off in some places, the reflective part of the wrist is erased by the cuff of the glove. These gloves feel heavy but are still reasonably manageable. Don't expect to be able to juggle small screws and small objects with them. They are easy to put on and take off so taking them off for quality work is not a problem and I think they should last a few more weeks before they start failing. Overall good gloves for the money.
