Definitely a quality part

This is definitely an improvement over my old howl bearings. Right out of the box I could tell they were strong. They turned very smoothly in my hand and were fairly easy to install with some axle grease. It also includes an O-ring and wire retainer. Although there is another bracket that you need to remove from the old wheel bearing and use. I definitely feel a different ride quality. I have ridden in the sand and they hold up well in the mud. Just make sure to visit the car wash after your…

Let's face it, having to build your own hubs sucks.

But at least it's a well made piece and I've had no problems with it. I had a side that was going, so I went ahead and did both to get it out of the way. The detail seems very well finished and everything fits together perfectly. The ABS wire was an exact replacement for the stock wire. There are some great hub replacement videos out there on the internet. The biggest problem I had was removing the hub from the steering knuckle. After struggling with it for a while and finally giving up…

Good name, reputation, value with abs.

Added 1998 GMC Jimmy 4dr 4wd, ABS light on indicates faulty speed sensor, volt meter test showed faulty sensor after reading recommendations that a simple sensor replacement could be problematic ie The difference in price between a $40 sensor and a $90 bearing/hub/sensor just made sense not to risk the $40 problem. When I removed the old one, which looked physically good but failed the test with a voltmeter, low readings, the old sensor's connector fell out. Using an impact gun I removed the…

missing oring? nothing found

the part itself has 5 stars, but? After receiving the part, I noticed that the back of the hub didn't have a dust/dirt/water o-ring like 99 percent of all other brand wheel bearing hubs, so I had to hunt for days to find the o-ring to get it to find the one that fits and is made of the right material. Eventually I tracked down the part through McMaster Carr that led me to the top races that led me back to ebay (yes ebay). I found 5 o-rings in a ten dollar bag. I could get them even cheaper at…

Pick Middle of the Road

I agree with almost all of the positive reviews about Timken bearings. The only part I can't agree with is the "Made in USA" in the rating. These reviews are from a few years ago, Mine has a brand from Korea. I wanted to get the best bang for my buck. You can get a $40 precision bearing from Revain, but too many people report it lasting 10-50k. Delco stock is about twice the price of this one and I'm pretty sure it's good. Heard good things about the SKF brand but never used them (60 more than…

Pros
  • Inspires Confidence
Cons
  • Has Flaws

I wasn't really impressed by the price, but time will tell if it was money well spent. I replaced the front wheel bearings from another company a little over a year ago. Since I've had so many front end repairs I asked my mechanic if it wouldn't be a good idea to replace the wheel bearings while he keeps the truck on the stand and they more or less need to be pulled. anyway to install some tie rod parts. He agreed that the old OEM parts should be replaced since they were already being removed…

Pros
  • Drug πŸ”₯
Cons
  • The price of the piggy bank

Today, anyone who buys original equipment parts for their car/truck has a bad feeling because they know that more than 70% of the parts sold today are inferior Garbage that you don't put on the garbage trucks should throw. Greed has flooded the market with absolute junk sold to undermine quality components that are more expensive to produce. A $260 fuel pump that lasts 7 months, brakes that don't last a year, and the list goes on. Of course, we need a way to provide certification that validates

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Some trade-offs
