Okay, I usually hate giving "bad" reviews and I may have received two lemon colored sheets that weren't prewashed, but personally I was shocked at the amount of microscopic lint left after washing both sets . . I always wash my sheets before use and can't say I've ever seen even 1/4 the amount of lint come off a set or anything like it did with the two sets I bought have. Actually I was a bit excited lol. After the first wash I was pleased with how soft they felt as I placed them on the drop down counter. It was at this point that I happened to notice a very strange and very large dust cloud in a piece of the sun, timed just as it was beginning to set. Zone clean, our windows are usually closed except when airing the room a few days a week, and we have these overpriced $600 air purifiers (one of which was right next to where the sheets and dust particles were with full performance worked. ). We even change the air conditioning filter every two months. In other words, I haven't seen any appreciable dust floating in the air in a long time, let alone the insane amount of weird dust I saw at that moment. I thought it might be from the new sheets. , which struck me as odd, and tapped it lightly. Huge swarm of microfiber dust. I then took them into the garage to shake them out but was appalled at the amount that came off including some large balls of lint stuck to the sheets themselves. Unfortunately I managed to inhale a lot of said dust which resulted in a burning nose and nasty sinus infection later that night and the next day. They went back to the washing machine only to see the same thing. So I washed them a few more times but none of that lint came out of the other loads I washed later or even before I washed the sheets, including dark clothing after the sheets. I wanted her back (very rarely because I'm often too lazy lol). My friend later said that he liked the feeling and kept it to himself because he believed he had to deal with worse situations in his job (plumber) although he also found it a bit strange. I personally think he would sacrifice everything to reduce the amount of laundry, but whatever. I've washed them more often just to be on the safe side and found the sheets I usually use in a crazy same day sale that I can't usually find at a decent price. So I think it's a win-win - uh, minus the cleanse, tons of douches and sinus infections lol. The attached picture is just a small portion of what came out of the previously emptied filter after not one but 3 washes. Particulate matter is what I've seen floating and then on the floor in the garage and on myself. So yes, they are very soft and I almost regret not being able to use them, but I can't recommend them due to the Star Trek/Apocalyptic Dust Cloud Tribble situation - at least not without a thorough wash first. . and possibly have a dust mask and broom nearby.
