I have an assortment of knee pads that go above and below the knee but they are hot and uncomfortable in the summer heat and don't offer enough flexibility. The SS harness allows my knee to bend completely and I hardly notice I'm wearing it. I haven't been walking regularly lately because my knee felt unstable like it was bending the wrong way.
