We have just bought a home where UV light showed the former owner's dog pissing on the wall and bumping into the carpet at the edges of the basement walls. Rough! They replaced the carpet and padding and I don't know if they allowed the dog to urinate or if it entered the floor. While we're not rug fans, we decided to give this inexpensive remedy a try before we rip out a new rug. I heavily drenched the edges with this material and gave it a good dose overall - it took a week for the edges to dry! I don't like the super strong perfume smell on this thing - it wears off in a couple of weeks, but damn it if it doesn't get rid of the smell completely! Carpet stain remover, dark brown, and the color remained untouched. We're still shaking our heads at how well it worked. We are 2 months old and the smell has not returned.
