As another poster said they are good for splicing/splicing wires individually. However, they cost about 80 cents each, compared to less than 10 cents for wire nuts. I usually use them in small places and where the wires are short and not long enough to be connected in a bunch like wire nuts require. So primarily for use in special applications. One YouTuber said these connectors hold the wire with one-point sewing feet and will likely come loose over time. It is then difficult to diagnose a loose contact. As such, he recommends NOT using them for regular wire connections - twisting copper wire together (with pliers) and a wire nut is much safer.
