Careful, the cable destroyed my new iPad.

I've had dozens of cables over the years but never a break in the unit. The plug head broke off the first time it was used. It's stuck on my iPad and can't be removed. Apple said I had to buy a whole new iPad. PLEASE don't repeat my mistake. Rather spend a few euros more and buy something better. I may have gotten a defective one, but in any case, this purchase cost me hundreds of dollars.
