Purchased size XL to wear felt boots. They fit perfectly and worked very well. I fished the San Juan River first without them and then with them. San Juan is known for its agility, and so it was. With the felt just put on, I had a few moments where I was very nervous that I was going to fall. I actually shortened my day it was so scary. I put them on the next day and it was a completely different experience. I went confidently with no worries. Someone at the river even asked me how I walk so easily. Can't comment on durability yet but I can say they are very well made so I expect a long lifespan. Update after 18 months. Everything I said above is still true. Very durable. I lost one in the river so be careful. They are very tight and I don't blame the design. My foot sank about 18 inches into the mud and must have come loose. I've only ever worked with one and it has worked well. I just ordered another pair. You're worth it.
