All holes are covered - hats, foil and bandages
There are no real holes, they have to be made by pulling hair through which is mostly impractical when using the tool provided. The included hook tool is pretty inefficient and doesn't snag on my hair after I finally get it to poke the pseudo-holes on the lid. I ended up buying a very, very small hook with a very sharp point, and then it worked better (for me).
