Updated the fans in the house and decided to add this one to the living room. Love it! The timer feature is great for this, set it for a few hours and don't worry about forgetting to turn it off. FYI the lights will be controlled by this but if you use a wall switch it will still turn it off (i.e. leaving the switch on the wall on you can use the remote as you wish but if you want to use the wall turn it off, when you leave the room it will turn off, and when you re-enter the room you can use the wall switch to turn it on so you don't carry the remote control in or out of the room need when you get on or off. and if you can't find the remote then don't be stuck ")
