I was very disappointed with this purchase. After looking at many reviews I tried to find an alternative to the Rode Video Microphone. I thought I made a good choice. I was well aware of the downsides of this mic, but it wasn't enough that I didn't want to buy it. The selling point for me was the mobile phone cable to connect the microphone. Sometimes a cheaper route is not always promising. The quality, as stated in the reviews, was what you would expect from a budget mic in this range. Nothing fancy, but it gets the job done. However, I received a defective device, which is why I rated it so badly. Firmly mounted on a tripod without moving, the microphone emits a pop or long click. I adjusted the cable and tried recording a few more times, and at some point during my vlog a click or click started playing over my audio. My mistake for trying to save a dollar. I get a Rode video microphone.
