I bought two different brands of this type of soap dish for me and my wife. The ones I bought from a reputable and very reliable company, held in place by a suction cup. He fell off the wall at least 2 times for no apparent reason. This 3M Command Stripes soap bar has lasted great for at least 7 months! So I bought another Command Strip soap holder to replace the suction cup fiasco. So far the new holder works just as well as the old one! We place our soap in a resealable soap container and this container is placed on the Command holder. I'm telling you this so you know it can support the weight of a life-size bar of soap plus a plastic travel container.
