I'm new to brewing and bought this kettle to easily brew up to 5 gallons of beer and easy to vacuum without having to move the pot. I am really impressed by the quality of the device. It's a single-walled jar with a removable wart basket and removable filter, making it really easy to clean. Measuring marks are stamped on the inside to make it easier to measure the volume. The interior is really clean with no exposed welds, meaning it's easy to keep clean. The LCD screen is bright and easy to read, and the pre-programmed settings make changing the temperature easy. The built-in tap is important to me as I didn't want to bother with siphons. I can just attach a tube and gravity feed it into the fermenter. I also like the glass lid so you can keep an eye on the drink as it cooks. I don't plan on using the recipe book first, but it's definitely nice. In general I am very satisfied with the purchase. The next step is to make an immersion cooler and test the first batch.
