I needed a light that would illuminate my desk. The night over my home office cast shadows and the desk lamp blinded me. I have shelves above the table where I could put a light. I also needed something very thin so it wouldn't block my view of my large monitor. This light convinced me. It was easy to attach with double sided tape. The tape is strong so make sure you apply it correctly the first time as there is no second chance. Once it sticks to the shelf, it sticks. It's very thin, doesn't block the front view. I hardly notice. power cord. I have it on the side, and the wire is attached to the edge of my desk for now. Later I will work on a better solution to hide the wire. I think I can drill a hole so I can route the wire to the light and just attach it with some tape. It's a bright light that illuminates my desk but doesn't affect the monitor. 36 inch light but I should have gone with a longer block. I recommend this product and might buy a second light.
