The 10 foot rope was easily hung on my chinning bar that is 7 1/2 feet off the ground at the crossbar. The rope is used to increase grip strength and latisssimus dorsi strength. The ultimate goal is to ascend the rope free hand from a sitting-on-floor position. This feat will require patience and strength training and the rope will be around longer than all of us. The rope itself has excellent wrapping and is not frayed. For repeat beginners (I used to be good at this), note that weightlifting gloves may not offer an advantage here. Chalked hands may provide the best grip. Overall, this product is highly recommended, particularly since installation took less than 1 minute.Jerry
