This paddle is perfect for kido - it's light and floats. My daughters are 11 and 9 years old. My 9 year old is 54 inches tall and my adjustable paddle in the lowest position is too long for her to use properly. We try to teach them how to row properly and efficiently, so correct row length is very important. It's 3 parts so it folds compactly to fit in our iSUP bags and when assembled it's lightweight and adjusts to the right height for my daughter. I love that it actually floats so she doesn't have to dive for it if she drops it - makes it a little less stressful for her and me. The blade is made of durable plastic with a good shape to cut water efficiently - it gets a good hit from it and doesn't tire your hand. I like that the blade is plastic so it won't break or get damaged when banging it against rocks.
