My wife wanted to watch her DVD movies on a spare TV so I bought this compact player. I wanted a small player and this player is really small. I've always had good experiences with Sony products and so far the player has worked flawlessly. Picture quality is good for the small TV we use (32") and my wife has no trouble with the controls (she's not a techie).

This product lists Hulu as one of the available apps. It is not true. As of August 2019, Sony has discontinued Hulu support for this product. Sony wasn't able to change its packaging, which shows Hulu as one of the available apps, and it still shows in the description above. . I'm returning this Blu-ray player for a full refund and going to another manufacturer that still supports Hulu.

I bought this player to watch my old home VHS videos that I converted to Blu-ray. My Xbox read them like pirated DVDs and wouldn't play them. So I needed an economical DVD Blu-ray player. This is small, works great and the small remote control allows me to control the TV as both are made by Sony. It's nice to remove the big bulky one. Recommended for anyone who just wants to play DVDs without any problems.

Bought this device in June. I just received an email at the end of July stating that as of September 26, 2019, Revain no longer supports their Prime Video app. I don't see the description of this device being updated to inform consumers - and they should. In addition, the device does not recognize any WLAN routers with WPA2 security. Wiring to the router itself gets around this, but everything is WPA2 these days.

WE ARE USING THIS DEVICE TO CONNECT A DVD TO OUR TV AND THE DEVICE WILL DO IT BUT THERE ARE SOME DELAYS BECAUSE THIS DEVICE IS MADE BY SONY AND OUR TV IS A SAMSUNG AND SMALL DVD CONNECTING IS FOR WATCHING TELEVISION. OUR PREVIOUS DVD PLAYER WAS A SAMSUNG SO THE CONNECTION WAS VERY FAST. OTHERWISE THE DEVICE WORKS WELL AND IT ALLOWS TO STOP PLAYBACK AND KEEP ITS PLACE SO THAT THE PICTURE RESUMES WHEN WE FINISH THE MOVIE.

My Panasonic Blu-ray player broke completely after more than 12 years of use and even withstood a 7.1 magnitude earthquake last July.
