Pros: heats water, has a hold function, beeps when it's done and the temperature shown is about 1.5 degrees which isn't too bad. Cons: The entire device is half in the design department. When the water heats up to the setpoint, it stops 15 degrees earlier, rises 5 degrees by inertia, and then has to turn the heater back on to stop heating the water. This adds to the overall heat up time for no other reason than "we didn't bother to program it very well. up to 180° you have to lower the temperature manually instead of just pressing the "Temperature Setting" button. The cord and base are oddly designed so it takes up a lot more countertop space than it takes up. The lid of the teapot is concave. So it's difficult to remove the cap without touching the hot metal when you need to check the level. The lip around the lid is U-shaped, making cleaning more difficult than necessary. Every time you press a button, you hear an annoying BEEP, much louder than necessary and completely out of place. Overall: rough and cheap, but works well.
