Works well so far.: Computers and accessories

I bought this hub to be able to mount it on a desk or wall. After a minor glitch, it looks well put together. I bought this hub to be able to mount it on a table or wall. After a minor glitch, it looks well put together. When it arrived I quickly started testing it. I've been using Hdtune performance evaluation software since the beginning. I got a "read error" from the software on every port I tested. I switched flash drives and the result is the same. I figured it might be a bad cable that came with the hub, so I tested the hub with its own USB 3.0 cable. Nifiga itself, everything worked as it should. I quickly contacted the company about this. After informing them of my testing process, they decided to send me a new cable. About a week later I received a new cable and everything was fine. To be fair, this can happen to any company. This can happen even with high-quality branded cables. I've only used this hub for testing, but hopefully it will be a real performer. It should be noted that during testing I lost 30Mbps of performance compared to a direct connection to the motherboard. For me this is not critical, but for a hard drive it can be a problem. I'm wondering if people who bought this hub and had problems if their problem could be in the cable. Just a thought.

Pros
  • Nice
Cons
  • Fair enough, but...
