I bought this refractometer as a more accurate salinity option than a hydrometer. First, I would like to add that I bought a calibration solution (sold separately). You can use distilled water for calibration, but I just haven't gone that route. This refractometer came with a nice plastic case, a cleaning cloth, 2 pipettes and a small screwdriver (to adjust the calibration if needed).
