The screen quality is quite good. You'll find that in some applications everything looks pixelated, while in others it's pretty clear. I mainly use mine to search the web or watch YouTube videos while playing video games. The wide screen is useful when sharing the screen or using it for programs like CAD. The enlarged screen size helps you see the whole picture while keeping the enlarged picture in the right place. There were no dead pixels, no flickering, and no mechanical issues whatsoever. I think for the price it might be worth investing in a slightly better resolution, albeit with the same screen size, just for a better experience.
