We had the parts we needed!
We had so many problems after our expensive front door handle started to fail. The door was stuck in the closed position and would not open when the handle was turned. Even after buying a new pen, it just didn't work properly. Finally, after a lot of headaches, we tried replacing the metal part that fits into the door frame (included in this kit). We had to cut a piece of wood out of the frame to mount the replacement part, but we haven't had any problems since.
