Review on MINKA-AIRE F853-BN/DK Protruding Mount Ceiling Fan - 3 Distressed Koa Blades in Brushed Nickel/Distressed Koa by Tonya Washington

Delivery: The fan arrived on time and in good condition. The packaging was stable and the contents undamaged. Installation: The installation took about an hour without any prior knowledge. Only additional tools needed were a screwdriver and wire cutters/wire strippers. The instructions were relatively easy, but I do suggest having a helper as some of the steps would be very difficult without an extra pair of hands. It would be helpful if the manual turned summer and winter fans clockwise and counterclockwise rather than back and forth as the blades move in a circle. Quality: The engine finish is superb and offers the perfect blend of industrial form. with a clean, simple look. I was concerned that I read in a previous review that the fan blades are composite. They appear to be painted plastic, but they look incredible and could fool anyone who doesn't already know. The fan is quiet and can hardly be heard even at night (it is installed above our bed). Conclusion: Great fan. beautiful appearance. Ease of installation.
