Review on Fun and Educational Musical Rainbow Tea Party Set (Frustration-Free Packaging) by Marcus Dorgham

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great educational toy! And cute too!

Cannot recommend highly enough! My daughter loves this. She was playing with one of these sets at my friend's daughters house and was obsessed. I gave one to my young daughter for Christmas and she was delighted. It was the first gift she opened and then she didn't want to open anything for a while because she was too busy haha. I like that it has 2 different volumes. The "tea" (represented by colored wavy lights) inside actually looks full, half full, empty (no light). The kettle shows you how much tea is left. The real aim of the "game", if you will, is to match the color of the tea, represented by the light inside, with the piece of cake. It took me a little time to understand this concept. Also because my daughter used to play around with it all the time and I never heard him get to the part where he tells you to pair tea with a piece of cake of the same color. The teapot sings a song as it cycles through all the colors, then randomly stops at one color and asks you to find the piece of cake that corresponds to it. Good for receptive language skills! I am a therapist working with children with speech disorders and I think I will eventually be the second therapist I use with my patients. You can target receptive language, expressive language (talking about what happened), social skills/pragmatics (sharing! switching!), and more. Love it :)

Cons
