They would not screw properly into any of the cans bought at either of the two major hardware stores, nor into the Briggs cans sold at Advance Auto. In all of these cases, the OEM threads are too far apart/too large and this product has thinner threads too close together. If you encounter this problem, the manufacturer recommends using an OEM ring, except the OEM ring of all these brands has a hole that is too large for the thin spout and gasket, causing fuel to spill between the boot and spout . After experiencing this disappointment, I found that the yellow vent part was also not working properly. I intentionally drilled a hole that was too small and then expanded it in 64" increments until the hole was big enough for a snug fit. This product uses fairly cheap hard plastic, not rubber like good old cans. That means it's leaking, and moreover, when you try to open the vent, the whole thing pops out, not just part of the lid, because the lid is too tight and the lip holding the bottom on the can shuts shut is weak. Additionally, the lifting tab on the yellow lid is too thin to help you open the lid. It just flexes instead of being strong enough to lift the lid. I will give the manufacturer a few days to respond otherwise I will be returning this product for the reasons above.
