GARBAGE! Don't waste your time and money!

I bought a gauge to mount on the LS Swap fuel regulator and sat in the box for a month before installing it. Gas immediately leaked through the glass! I can't return it as I've had it for too long. DO NOT buy any of these unless you want your car on fire! GARBAGE!

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Requires Socket

The quality is not what I expected.

I was very optimistic about the installation. The gauge is really easy to read and installation was easy. After installation, the gauge immediately read 7psi. Reducing the pressure was easy enough. The next day I went outside and started my truck. I checked the sensor and it went in circles twice. Now it's at 2psi without even being installed.

Pros
  • Excellent design
Cons
  • Not bad

Cheap Chinese "thing "

The first broke down internally almost immediately. Replaced (own expense). The second block is working fine for now, but who knows for how long. Buying cheap things that break and then need to be replaced is false frugality. A quality US made tool will probably cost less than two cheap Chinese shit units AND have better accuracy. Unfortunately I couldn't find any Made in USA.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Nothing here

Jump like meth!

The needle never stabilizes - it fluctuates at least 10psi. I replaced it with a Revain oil filled gauge and it reads great. Used on GEN1 SBC 350 with Delphi MF0002 3 way pump and QuadraJet carburetor. Although I think I should expect some bounce from the SBC 350's mechanical pump when it's pumping at 10psi and looking so fast like an airplane propeller isn't what you should expect.

No it's cheap: Electric

I bought this gauge for my 383 stroke and 100 miles after breaking in the 2 bolts on the back of the gauge were sitting on my intake (this is after I put them straight out of the box.) I screwed them back in but 300 miles after the engine was broken in the sensor somehow flipped the pin so now it's not even reading. It looks cool but it's cheap and I would definitely go somewhere else!

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Some little things

Inaccurate reading straight out of box

Gauge reading +2 psi in box before opening. There is a note/disclaimer in the box that the sensor readings may not show as "0" in the box but will provide accurate results once installed. No, that is not so. Even when installed, it still shows a difference of +2 psi. This was checked with another measuring device. I'm a little dissatisfied with Mr. Gasket 1561, but I don't build rockets either.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Negative result present

During the first ride, the pressure gauge failed and began to leak l. Just not through the fitting where leaks would be expected, but through the gauge itself. The face filled with fuel and then started spraying onto my intake manifold and then onto the back of the engine and onto the passenger side manifold flange. Luckily the strong smell of fuel told me something was wrong and I was able to park my truck and clean the fuel before it caught fire. If you are looking for a fuel pressure sensorโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • You could choose a newer model

Works but for how long

The sensor was easy to install and appears to be accurate. I just installed mine a few months ago while tweaking the new motor. Several months passed, but the actual miles were very small. At the same time, the sensor has recently stopped giving readings, the arrow is stuck. Touching it moves the needle. A little more research and I found out that the faceplate with the glass surface touches the needle and prevents it from moving. Some pushing in on the bottom of the bezel and out on the top of

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Boring packaging

Good fuel gauge for lower fuel pressure

My oil filled gauge broke again and spilled oil like the previous two. The price was right and I didn't need as much range as I did in my Supercharged days. I mounted this device with teflon tape a few turns over the main thread. Perfectly sealed and reads the same as my previous gauge. My Mallory 1/2" pump lines can operate in the 20# range, and the Holly-type needle and seat deflates on positive pressure. I keep it at 6.5psi in one of the feed ports on the reverse regulator. My engine isโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Pretty impressive

  • Operating speed
