I bought it more than a year ago - it was a year old then. Impressive as it's clearly a multimedia tablet with a bright screen and plenty of processing power. Perhaps the most dazzling feature is not the interior but the exterior. This lightweight tablet features a plastic back and an aluminum frame. A year later I bought a Galaxy Tab S3. Why? Due to the fragile construction, I found the S2 bent after 6 months of towing. As with YouTube's iPhone bend test, the tablet has a slight bend where the SIM card slot is located. The tablet is thin and somewhat fragile. I loved the shape and design (how did they pack all that functionality into such a thin tablet?) and if I could get the S3 in gold I'd be happier, but the S3's big screen, S Pen and other features mean a thicker build and therefore a more durable tablet. The S2 is great for reading at home thanks to its lightweight design. I've received many comments at work about the S2 being so thin and light, but of the two tablets, the S3 is the better and more expensive option.
