This will prevent you from using an external hard drive. This will charge your controllers and add USB 2.0 ports. I use a slow 3.0 port to charge my controllers so that the system knows how to power them when idle, which is not possible through any of the 4 2.0 ports. Port 3.0 is not fast enough for an external hard drive. I use the 2 2.0 ports to power the fans on the vertical stand (which also charges the controller and 2 motion controllers) and the fans on the back. PSVR is still plugged into the back until I buy an external hard drive. Everything works great and I would definitely recommend anyone to buy this if they need more USB ports as it also looks cool and adds blue lights on the front!
