I bought this in the Prime Day Sale along with another similar lamp. The other was a great purchase. I bought this one for the same price and it's a piece of crap. Assembly seems straightforward as all you have to do is screw the parts together. But the wiring inside the poles is really inflexible and doesn't take part in the assembly process. It's too long/protrudes too much and is very stiff so you have to try to push the wires in while screwing the parts together. Then, after assembling and trying to turn the gooseneck, the parts are unscrewed. There was a big blob of glue on the head of my lamp where it connects to the body and it looks very cheap. The parts generally seem very cheap. The base is also very small, light and not strong. The light isn't very bright and the touch controls on the pole are on the opposite side where the gooseneck curves, which is very odd. The controls on the remote control are swapped for a few things. The light up buttons actually change the light setting to warm/cold, and the warm/cold buttons change the brightness. The gooseneck is not very flexible or easy to move. It's frustrating when the rods keep unscrewing and the gooseneck just won't rotate. I returned it. There are much better bulbs out there for the same price.
