I bought these for my husband for a wedding. He is the exact same height as me but I wanted to wear heels and not tower over him. These did the trick. They made him taller but not to the point where anyone would notice. He also said they were very comfortable and felt as if he was walking in boots with a little of a heal. You can not notice that they have a lift at all and are very classy nice shoes. I thought they felt heavy in the box, but he said he didn't notice that while wearing them!
