Review on πŸ“ž Uniden TRU9460: 5.8 GHz Compact Cordless Phone with Call Waiting & Caller ID by Stephanie Wilson

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Lots of features but not enough range

After much research I decided on the Uniden TRU9460 to replace my 2.4GHz cordless phones. It's the most stylish design of the range (others have horribly bulky bases) and it's really feature-rich (caller ID, memory for up to 100 numbers, distinctive ringtone for desired numbers, LED indicator on top for incoming calls or new numbers) . Messages). My favorite features might be the room monitor, intercom, and direct connect. The monitor allows me to place the receiver in one of the children's rooms and listen when it gets too quiet in the house. The intercom lets me call my wife in the kitchen without yelling or interrupting my reading in the bedroom. And direct communication works like a two-way radio (like a walkie-talkie). I personally haven't used it much, but I think it's still a cool feature. The two things that didn't impress me about this phone were the range and the clarity of the sound. I just don't feel like 5.8GHz gives me more spectrum. I placed the base in the exact same spot that I had my old phones and the signals start breaking up at about the same distance from the base as with my 2.4GHz system. Audio clarity isn't much better than my 2.4GHz VTech phones, which by the way never interfered with my wireless network. Wireless Systems Now Available) is a reliable 5.8GHz wireless system.

Pros
  • Lots enough
Cons
  • It's hard to remember but it was
