Decayed in two weeks?

I've had it for about a week or two and my hamster loved it. I was pleased because it was quiet so I could sleep while she ran. Then he seemed to be distorted and is now spinning weirdly, meaning he's making noise again. I tried adjusting the cage mount but it still works no matter how tight or loose it is. A little frustrating as I bought this to replace her old one which was incredibly loud.
