Fantastic food at a very reasonable price!

As always, Royal Canin comes through with a high quality product at affordable prices. As a Licensed Veterinary Technician married to a Veterinary Surgeon, I shouldn’t be surprised! My 12-year-old cat suffers from severe IBD and intestinal lymphoma, and this is the only food that he willingly eats that he is able to properly chew, fully digest, and keep weight on. Sam was literally on death’s door with an esophageal tube in place, and I switched to this food after trying at least 20 others…

Pros
  • I loved it because my kitty only eats this food. She is very picky. Lucky me - it is expensive
Cons
  • It was expensive and my cat refused to eat it. It was complete waste.

My Exotic kitten has been eating this for 8 months, until I ordered it from Ebay. Now He won't eat 1 bite of this. I can't explain what happened to the food while in Ebay's posession, but He won't have anything to do with it. I had some leftover Science Diet indoor kitten food and he LOVES it. I'd prefer he was on Royal Canin, but the ingredients are far superior in the Science Diet versus Royal Canin. Maybe he can tell the difference in quality food. This isn't the first time I've bought dry…

Pros
  • Our cat is 6 months old and wants nothing but this brand! It's the best
Cons
  • Expensive compared to other kitten food brands

Royal Canin Makes for Healthy Kittens

I started buying this for my two kittens in November, along with the corresponding wet food. One of my kittens was starting to develop coarse hair around her back when she started on it (They were on Purina Pro Plan at the time, the food the shelter gives them). Now, in January, her hair is soft and fluffy again, just like her brother's! I also love that this has prebiotics in it, which help my male cat who had been having problems with diarrhea since he was in foster care. This is the only dry

Pros
  • Cats look like they enjoy this food. All of them want to eat it
Cons
  • Formula not beneficial to kittens with digestive health issues

Great Product - my new review

My kitten is now a cat but has been eating Royal Canin Kitten Food since he was weaned. Since he likes it, have continued feeding it to him. Checked with his Vet and she said it is fine to feed him kitten food even though he's 18 months old and no longer considered a kitten. He's a Persian so has a flatter face than most cats so the morsels are small and just perfect.

Pros
  • Available in a convenient bag size for easy storage
Cons
  • May cause bladder stones in kittens due to the high magnesium content

My kittens are finicky eaters and one of them has a sensitive stomach. This is one of the few foods that they both like and that they tolerate well. The ingredient quality is good and they like the flavor. Both are thriving on it.

Pros
  • Enhances the overall health and wellness of a young kitten
Cons
  • Not a hypoallergenic option for kittens with food allergies or sensitivities

Great Kitten Food but Expensive

I like feeding my kittens this food and they seem to like it a lot too! I have seen their coats grow to be shinier, softer and smoother after switching to Royal Canin so I trust that it is made with healthy ingredients. I would like to buy it again but for now the price is just too much. $22 for a 3lbs bag? I run out of it really fast so I just can't justify the price. Though, if you can afford it, try it.

Pros
  • Helps prevent obesity in kittens
Cons
  • May cause stress in some kittens due to the high carbohydrate content

quality kitten food

This product is good quality food for kittens. They love the taste, and it is much better for them than many others. Does not contain enough protein to develop healthy muscles and bones in kittens!

Pros
  • DIGESTIVE SUPPORT: An innovative combination of highly digestible proteins, fibers, and prebiotics helps to provide digestive support for kittens
Cons
  • Does not contain enough protein to develop healthy muscles and bones in kittens

#KittenLove - my new review

This was recommended kitten food by my broker prior to getting my Sphynx. I use both the hard and soft food, he loves it! Not a grain-free option for kittens with grain sensitivities or allergies.

Pros
  • Formulated with premium proteins for optimal nutrition
Cons
  • Not a grain-free option for kittens with grain sensitivities or allergies

Kitten LOVES this! in my review

My Siamese kitten that I got lucky enough to find at a rescue, just loves this food. He also loves the instinctive wet in gravy. I tried to switch him to science diet kitten as I can get a huge discount from the company as I work at a vet clinic. but he won't touch it. Ditto pro plan and fancy feast kitten.Kitten gets what he wants and my formally malnourished 6 month old 3.6 lb kitten is now growing like a weed. Not my favorite brand for hypoallergenic dog food (all my pets have issues, my lab…

Pros
  • Provides essential fatty acids for a healthy skin and coat
Cons
  • May cause foul-smelling faeces in some kittens

Sammy has grown fat and sassy

When I brought him home at 6 weeks, he loved it and still does now at 6 months. He's very active and healthy. His coat is extremely soft.

Pros
  • B00ECQ96J4
Cons
  • May cause weight gain in some kittens due to the high carbohydrate content

Picky cats love flavor.

I rescued 3 kittens. This is what that ate. They live it. I give them wet food but I find they love this kibble. My old 19 yo who is soooo picky has begun to eat this. I don’t mind she is old and I will give her whatever she will eat.

Pros
  • Supports a healthy immune system
Cons
  • May cause anemia in some kittens due to the low iron content

The results speak for themselves.

This is the dry food version of Kitten Instinctive. I've used it for over a year with two kittens who are now young adults and an 8 month old special needs kitten with a critical congenital heart defect - she transitioned from the babycat canned and dry food at 16 weeks. All of my cats are from the shelter where I volunteer, and were brought in as underage kittens at about 5 weeks old. I've kept them on Royal Canin (which we use in our kitten nursery), and the results have been fantastic with…

Pros
  • Offers peace of mind that your young kitten is getting the nutrients they need to thrive
Cons
  • Does not support healthy joints in kittens

Kitty Crack - my new review

My kittens LOVE this stuff. As soon as I got it I poured it into their food bowl and I could barely get the bowl back onto the mat it's usually on before they both came over and stuck their little faces in there to chow down.I was having issues with them either not eating certain foods or over eating others. This one is perfect, I have a free feeder that just refills for them and they seem to eat at steady times and don't meow around for more food anymore! They're also growing well and their…

Pros
  • My kitten loves it!
Cons
  • Not organic or non-GMO verified

Kittens LOVE it best in my review

My two kittens absolutely LOVE this food. One even prefers to eat it over the wet food. Both kittens are very healthy, happy, and their coats are silky and shiny. Just wish it weren't so expensive.

Pros
  • Helps promote healthy growth and development
Cons
  • May cause dehydration in some kittens due to the lack of hydration-focused ingredients

Makes poop stink best in my review

Not worth the price. I found a much better cat food with better ingredients that’s cheaper and my cats feces don’t smell as bad.Ill be ordering life’s abundance from now on.

Pros
  • Helps reduce tartar buildup for good oral health
Cons
  • Formula does not support healthy growth in kittens

Kittens love it!: my feedback

My kittens really love this food. They started off eating the Royal Canin Mother & Baby cat food and at four months I switched them to the Kitten food. They haven’t had any issues eating this food so I’m going to keep them on it. The only thing is it’s expensive and because I have two kittens it doesn’t last long.

Pros
  • Made with non-GMO ingredients
Cons
  • Formula does not promote healthy dental hygiene in kittens

Worth it for our kitten!

We bought some of this food for our Ragdoll kitten because it is what the breeder had been feeding her. We intended to switch her over to a cheaper brand once she had adjusted to her new home. However, she has done so well on this food and I feel that it is such high quality that we are going to keep her on it during her kitten months. Seems like a worthy investment to feed your kitten the best while they are growing and developing! We do supplement this food with fancy feast kitten cans as per

Pros
  • Provides essential amino acids for muscle development
Cons
  • May cause allergies in some kittens due to the use of unnamed animal protein sources

Quality dry food in my review

This brand was recommended by the vet for our kitten. While it’s not their main food (it’s the same brand but wet) we use this in the activity balls to keep up their hunter instincts or distract them when a new person comes over.

Pros
  • Provides essential nutrients for growing kittens
Cons
  • Formula contains low-quality meat by-products

Augh, my cat is so picky.

Despite the bad reviews about its ingredients, my cat just LOVES Royal Canin. We buy her Wellness CORE and Blue Buffalo, and still (to my surprise and disappointment), she prefers this over everything else. She's been on this for her entire life, and there haven't been any adverse effects to her coat, behavior, etc. She gets regular vet check-ups, and we've been told she's perfectly healthy.I tried switching her over to other healthier brands, but it just doesn't work (she is completely…

Pros
  • Made with scientifically backed research and development
Cons
  • Not suitable for kittens with liver issues

My finicky foster litter of 7 Loved it!

I foster kittens for a local shelter. I had a litter of 7 kittens and they hated EVERY brand of canned and dry food that I gave them-and I had MANY different brands! I'd been hearing really good things about Royal Canin on different foster blogs I subscribe to, so decided to try it. I bought the 3.5 pound bag to start with, and they devoured the ENTIRE bag in 6 days! They were a very healthy litter to start with, but after the first 2 days they were on it, I noticed they were a little more…

Pros
  • Provides complete nutrition for a young kitten's needs
Cons
  • May cause dehydration in kittens due to the low moisture content
