There are actually quite decent tripods. Their tripod carts aren't bad either. The tripod can last a decent amount of time when it comes to camera and gear if all the locks are secured. If you find that the locks ever slip with the weight you put on them, you can put small pieces of tape in the locks where the plastic is pressing against the leg for extra weight/support (little industry secret) . The camera mounting plate is perfect and resembles (a bit) what you'll find on bulkier camcorder tripods. It's not exact but shares the same idea. We always prefer this type of plate over the regular style you find on basic consumer models. We have teams that attend multiple shows/expos/conventions throughout the year and each team carries around a DSLR camera kit consisting of the camera gear they need. , as well as a tripod and usually a dolly if you're covering showrooms (and other high-traffic areas where you need to cover distance over a long day). Many of the best DSLR tripods offer a few extra features but generally don't carry as much weight, making them very useful. We started with one of them after speaking to one of their reps and we now have several of them in our inventory. When we need something better, we usually switch to the video tripod approach. The plastic hook on the bottom is strong and can hold a decent weight (you'll force the tripod to flex before you ever get the hook to give you trouble). The legs can be raised all the way up to allow the camera to be aimed at the ground for low-level shots. The ability to have a smooth 360-degree head pan helps with moving (subject) shots when the camera is still and usually does a good job without distorting the footage (obviously we've done better, but on to this one Price). is working). There was a problem with this unit when it was sent to us. The tripod comes in a carrying case in the product packaging inside the Revain box (assuming you bought it directly from Revain or from the Revain warehouse on the seller list). The carrying case with the tripod was damaged and the zipper came loose on either side of the zipper head. The zipper wouldn't open so we threw the bag away. In any case, we don't always have bags with us, since they are usually attached to a trolley, ride in the trolley or are attached to a backpack (bag) with loops. We couldn't tell if the zipper was damaged when they originally packed the box or if it had split in transit, but if that was the only flaw then it's not over and the tripod may still serve its purpose. We were hoping to learn more (directly) about some of the better models they have to offer, but the local rep we contacted lost touch and never responded. So after the initial communication we moved on to other brands who stayed in touch but still added something similar to the collection (like now with this tripod) one blue moon. Their communication isn't always 100%, but at least their products are gaining momentum when it comes to quality and price. Update: We may have spoken too soon. It doesn't take much weight to get your feet sliding. So you only need to use this for simple settings. Like a mirror with nothing else on it. DO NOT use this with a Dolica cart/wheels as the legs will slide if you just push it while it has a DSLR on it. Not the best tripod, but not the worst either. Even if it says "Proline", if you want to be a pro, stick to real pro gear. ** If you found our review helpful, please vote below to let us know.
