Review on 🎮 Exclusive Amazon Flip Game by Mattel Games by Charles Chambers

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Fun for the family!

It all started one day when I was playing UNO on my PlayStation 4 and finally decided to try the UNO Flip as it came with the regular UNO but I didn't want to try it as it wasn't doesn't look attractive at first. God, I should have started this sooner. In terms of rules, it's like regular UNO, but now there are two sides: Light side and Dark side. The Light Side is the standard UNO deck with a few changes (Draw Two is now Draw One and Draw Four Wild is now Dark Two Wild). They've made the penalties for the light side negligible, and that's because the dark side has much more severe penalties. In addition to the regular wilds and back actions, the Dark Side also has Draw Five (!), a card that skips each opponent's turn, and a variant of the regular Draw Four Wild where you have to keep drawing cards until you come the color the person asked for. So if they want purple (the dark side colors are purple, pink, orange, and teal), you have to keep drawing from the deck until you turn purple, even if you have to draw more than 15 cards! So yes, the best strategy for this game is to stay on the light side whenever possible, and switch to the dark side when you have good cards to use against your opponents like "Draw five" and "Skip Alles". . If you have a lot of cards (10+) then it can be pretty fun to spam a "Skip All" card when you have a lot of them. This game is much more bearable when you play a real physical game. I say this because UNO Flip on PS4 and PC has a rule called Stacking that can turn this game into a real torture. I won't elaborate further on what this rule means as it's off topic now, but anyone who has played this game will know what I'm talking about (when +5 becomes +20 and you get it) >:( If if you want something to keep you busy during the pandemic and some fun for the whole family I highly recommend buying this If you have never played UNO before I suggest starting with the regular game, since UNO Flip is a bit more advanced.

Pros
  • UNO FLIP! also includes fun new action cards like Draw Five and Skip All.
Cons
  • The packaging is ugly
