Love the light, not weird functions or loud beeps

I wanted this LED fan for a closet that doesn't get enough air from small vents. My main need was bright light, but having a fan was a huge bonus. I wouldn't choose this light again: I don't like how weird the remote control works or how it works with a regular wall switch. The installation is simple or complex depending on the existing wiring. There's almost no room for cords in the body of this light, so you'll probably have to shove everything extra into the electrical box. It comes with an adapter for the pickup, which we didn't use: we used ordinary nuts. The instructions look like they were created using Google Translate, but if you're familiar with DIY lighting, you'll be fine. The instructions show the remote control, but the button labels are rather cryptic (see photo). The "Wind Class" button (between the forward and back buttons) doesn't seem to do anything. There's no button to easily set the bulb to neutral white/warm white/cool white: it changes every time the light is turned on - I want it to stay at the light temperature I set! This happens when I use the remote control, but it also happens when the wall switch is used; Every time my husband flicks the wall switch on his side of the closet, the white light on my side also changes color. The website says it can be dimmed, but there's no such feature on the remote. The light also makes a very loud beep and has a slight delay when it turns on: it's really annoying. I've never had a lamp or fan make noise when turned on, but why? It is a beautiful lamp and gives off a lot of light. The fan moves enough air in my dressing room, but I doubt it will actually function like a bladed ceiling fan in a normal sized room. But the crazy functionality, the weird remote control and the loud BEEP kind of make me want to replace this already lit one.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • A few little things
