Comfortable enough. I figured the texture around the gripping part would help align my thumb a little better for double-tapping to toggle functions. Helps some, but not as much as I expected. It still sticks to the iPad with a magnet, as it should so it doesn't get in the way. It's easy to get in, but not very easy when it's on. I was trying to take it off to fit in my pencil case with built in holder and it was a bit difficult. So if you have a case that has room for a pencil, that might get in the way. I found that I could stretch it a little and it would charge. but he did not hold his position very securely.
