Great for self-taught hairdressers

Hanging this mirror on the door was a challenge. The clips on the mirror pressed against the door, pressed against the clips and fell out of the brackets when I tried to hang it on the door. If you are small you need a ladder or step stool, maybe someone is holding the mirror so you don't drop it. (Ask someone to help you hang it). Also, remember to adjust your braces to the length you need to be able to see yourself fully in the mirror. It's not meant for long-term hanging, so you should take it down once you've used it (I was afraid it might fall off). It only looked like he was going to fall. When you sit down and use this mirror it needs to be raised if your table/stand is low. But it's sturdy and won't fall off when you're sitting on a table, so you don't have to hold it or try to position the mirror, just position your body and look in the mirror at a nearby mirror. You no longer need to hold a hand mirror while trying to look in your bathroom mirror. The best part is that it is neither heavy nor bulky. This unpacked mirror weighs about the size of a laptop and maybe even lighter. So it is easy to carry. You don't have to worry about a broken mirror as the packaging is great. It was enclosed in styrofoam with a lid and wrapped in plastic in addition to the shipping carton in a crate so it had no room to move during shipment. I would say to be sure which way you put the brackets. The mounting clips must be inserted down into the brackets to prevent them from slipping out after final assembly to the door. The corner of the mount or the arm of the mount should point in the same direction as the clips on the back of the mirror. If you were sitting on a table I wouldn't use brackets. I couldn't figure out how to position the brackets to support the mirror when it's on the table, but if I do I'll be sure to update how I did it. Overall, this is a great option if you do your own hair and are struggling to style the back of your head. I only wish it had a case for storage and a way to use the brackets to prop up the mirror and adjust the height while sitting on the table, or at least instructions on how to do it if possible.
