I also keep the keys to friends' and neighbors' houses. Lots of keys but for security reasons I don't need descriptive labels on them. Instead, I mark the keys with a strip of colored tape. John's house is yellow so his key has yellow tape... Jane's front door is red so her key has red tape... When I ordered them I didn't realize they were narrower than the typical 1' black Electrical tape. The packaging and description specifically state that these straps are 1/2 inch wide. In my case this is actually an advantage and works better than wide tape - just note I'm looking for standard 1" wide tape.
