I bought this for my mouse which was a mistake! I understand what the carrier says for hamsters, but probably hamsters could also chew through and injure themselves.usually things for hamsters are suitable for other small rodents as well but my mouse erased the little holes on the side.having had hamsters before I guess I would do the same, but it might take longer.My mouse stuck its head in one of the holes after chewing its way out and I'm sure a hamster could do the same.Just not recommended as it seems unsafe and was scary when it has its stuck head!
