I bought this a few months ago to treat back pain and joint stiffness caused by lying on a regular mattress. I've slept inside in it probably thirty times. A few thoughts: * This type of hammock is far preferable to those with struts. It's more comfortable, hugs your body and is much more difficult to fall out or roll over.* This hammock is designed for people up to 18m tall. I'm a bit taller and found them a bit short for general use. Still, physically, it's quite a long time. I have a large Coleman foldable metal coaster that I take with me on camping trips. The ropes on this hammock were about two feet longer. It's really meant to be used outdoors (temporarily) or on a covered porch.* Sleeping in a hammock isn't flat. There is a curve in the middle and the two ends are raised even when the hammock is hung firmly. I couldn't get used to my head being tilted up, so I rolled down until my back formed a hump, meaning my legs were up and hanging down at my sides or on ropes. Not perfect. You'll like this better if you're used to sleeping in a chair or similar.* Over time, the cotton ropes have stretched more on one side than the other, causing one side of the hammock to rise and tilt when at rest . about five degrees when I'm inside. The incline is unobjectionable and I haven't fallen out yet, but there's no fix for that. Otherwise, the carrying capacity is high; At 175 pounds, I never ran the risk of damaging it. * The relatively thin material of the hammock ensures good air circulation. If you are prone to colds, you will need more blankets or sheets. If you overheat, you'll love it. As for my sleep issues, I've had mixed success. The first few nights I woke up after a few hours and went to my regular bed. After a week or two I was able to sleep through the night but still woke up stiff because there isn't much movement in a hammock. However, I had never had upper back pain before, so this was an improvement. Since then I have returned to my regular bed and have had a good rest after changing the pillows I used. This hammock is great value for money. I wouldn't expect it to last outdoors though. It should be stowed away when not in use or at least sprayed with a waterproofing spray. You can buy metal latches and eyebolts at any hardware store to make assembly and disassembly easier.
