I don't know what the suction category means, but if it means staying on the toothbrush, then that's bad. I solved the problem with dental floss and a spool holder. I slide the filament holder up a bit to remove the cap and then lower it when I want to hold the cap securely. With a regular toothbrush, you can try using the elastic bands as an anchor point for the floss.
