Some film has come off my heater. Were there for 2 weeks. Before that, when I first put it there, it heated the water too hot and everything in my tank got sick and I couldn't save them. I'm pretty sure it's the heater because I'm very good with fresh water tanks. This happened a week after the second water change with 4 surviving shrimp left to clean the tank. There's also no sensor to select the temperature, whatever it is that it uses automatically. Your tank is better off not using a heater than buying one.
