Good product for fish and aquatic animals

Many reviews indicate that the temperature is slightly above the set temperature, which is true. But I found it's persistence, so once I have it where I want it I don't need to tweak it anymore. The instructions say to let it cool for 15 minutes after unplugging it before removing it from the tank when cleaning, and I did. No questions. It has a simple orange light so I know when it's on and I have a stick on the thermometer to check the temperature.

Follow it: Aquarium Heaters and Coolers

I would say this thermometer did the job. Seems well done. However, it heats up a bit where you want it. I had 78 and the thermometer read 80. I turned it off to correct the difference and everything has been fine ever since. I would recommend this heater but don't install and forget. Come by from time to time for the first few days to check the temperature. That's a bit more for a 5 gallon tank. I had to turn it sideways and place it on the bottom of the tank to get it to fit, but overall it's

This is exactly what I experienced but I gave it 3 stars. Temperature control is difficult but works, suction cups are weak. Inaccurate temperature reading. Verified in USA on March 1, 2020. Verified Purchase. The temperature seems to be quite stable, but finding the right temperature is very difficult. The temperature in the tank does not match the scale of mine. I had no problems starting until 84. I've had no issues with the suction cups not sticking.

Very good but big heater

Overall this is a good little heater for the price. The inclusion of an adjustable temperature is a huge plus when compared to unregulated heaters at the same price. The temperature settings quoted are not accurate (usually for heaters in this price range) so don't believe it, but as a good fish farmer you already have a thermometer in your aquarium, right? It's a bit big for a 100W heater compared to big brands that cost twice as much, but it fits nicely in the back of a 10-gallon tank. It's…

I really wish it would work but read the review.

and it doesn't hold water on the right settings, you have to play around with that, so I've got it right now at 74, which pretty much keeps it between 80 and 82. ...which can be frustrating but for the price it works and I can't return it as I don't have another heater yet... But if you don't have a temp gun or don't keep an eye on your fish I definitely don't recommend this heater. I had very high expectations, I'm very disappointed maybe. They will contact me and send a new one, in which case

Difficult temperature setting but works

Hitop 50w Adjustable Aquarium Immersion Heater. This heater is quite difficult to adjust to the desired temperature. I use this heater for my new quarantine tank which I keep at 78°. I had to experiment with this dial until I found a position where 76° turned just a little red to bring the actual temperature to 78°. I usually connect my heaters to an InkBird temperature controller for double protection against overheating. But when I finally found the right dial setting for this HiTop heater…
