Good for Betta in my review

This is the first aquarium heater I've ever bought. I got my first betta fish, and since we live in a colder climate definitely needed a heater for his tank. I was worried about this from some of the reviews so I got a thermometer for the side of the tank as well. The temperature seems fairly accurate and I have only had it for a few weeks but it seems to be working fine. I think Mr Pokey has doubled in size and that time frame he seems to like the heater, he likes to swim around it. So far so…

Pros
  • This heater is great due to the visible digital temperature control. Great product. Easy setup.
Cons
  • Poorly constructed with low-quality materials

Short cord in my review

I like the size of this 50 watt heater for my 10 gallon tank. However, the cord is not long enough (about 4 feet) if you have the tank on a traditional stand. It barely reaches my surge protector and limits where I can put it in the tank. There is no red indicator light in the heater showing if it's heating so you need to be able to see the controller, and the controller is about 4 inches from the plug, so if your outlet is hard to get to this may not be for you. It also reads upside-down if…

Pros
  • Works great for my small tank
Cons
  • It broke after a month of using. So crappy

I used this to keep a betta tank at the optimal temp for my Betta. I loved the fact that I could control the temp outside of the tank!If the other heaters I’m using develop a problem I would definitely replace them with this heater!

Pros
  • Automatic Constant Temperature with 1℉Accuracy
Cons
  • Not compatible with all types of fish tanks

Great Heater - my new review

This has been in a 4.1 gallon reef tank and is doing a great job. The digital temperature readout is great. No need for an additional thermometer.

Pros
  • Compact size makes it easy to store when not in use
Cons
  • Can be difficult to tell if the heater is turned on or not

It stopped working 3 months after use.

I liked it until it stopped working 3 months after use. I also noticed I had to keep increasing the temp to keep it at 75° I would have it at 80 and it would be near 72 to 75. I used this in a 2.5-gallon tank for my Siamese fighting fish and snails.I'm glad I caught it in time because snails are Sensitive to temperature change and die!

Pros
  • Decent heater for small aquariums
Cons
  • Large and bulky compared to other heaters

A little iffy best in my review

This is an attractive unit that’s easy to set up. The temp never stays stable though so I set the temp lower than what I’d like so I don’t kill the fish. When I initially set it for 73 degrees it would fluctuate between 72 and 78 degrees. At least that’s what the controller shows - I don’t have a separate thermometer to measure the actual temp of the water.

Pros
  • Helps keep aquarium plants healthy and vibrant
Cons
  • Can be difficult to hide in the tank

Holds the temp spot on.

I’ve used this heater 3 months and it holds the temp. I check often and it’s spot on. Truly delighted to finally find a mini heater that works.

Pros
  • Can be easily adjusted for seasonal changes
Cons
  • The thermometer can be difficult to read

Works Great! in my review

So far i am impressed with this item! I have had it for a few months, this has lasted longer than another brand I purchased at a large retailer. It is easy setup, it does exactly as it describes.

Pros
  • Compact design saves space in small aquariums
Cons
  • Only comes in one size

25W is not sufficient for a 5gal, open-top tank.

Although an economical and compact tank heater, I have found that the 25W model is insufficient to reach the target temperature (72F) in my 5-gallon open-top tank. Ambient temperature in my house is about 60F in the colder months and it only manages to reach 69F. I am concerned that means the heater will continue to run while never reaching 72F.Additionally, I found the power cord to be fairly short.

Pros
  • External Temperature Controller, Never Wet Your Hands
Cons
  • The heater can get damaged by saltwater environments

You can take the sticker off, and totally submerge it

It works well so far, got the 50W version for a 5 gallon tank, seems to maintain temperature well, and I like the look of his one. One thing, there is a sticker on the top that says something 50W on one side and I forget the other side. You can take that off pretty easily, and it exposes the guts a little, a chip and some red wires. I would rather look at the guts that the tacky sticker, and also it's probably not best for the fish to have sticker adhesive in the tank.Oh, and totally submerge…

Pros
  • B09TLCQPJ7
Cons
  • The temperature can get too high and harm fish

I’m changing my review to a 5.0 because the one heater that didn’t work the seller contacted me and gave me a full refund without having to send it back, and then I ordered another and this works perfectly also.I bought three of these total. The first time I bought it, it worked well, the temperature always accurate within about a degree of what the product reported on the thermometer, and it keeps my tank heated well. So I bought another for my new aquarium. The second one did not work. The…

Pros
  • Helps maintain proper pH levels in the tank
Cons
  • Only works for tropical fish

Wanted to like this - wouldn't hold a temp

Arrived on time. Set up in a spare "tester" bowl before using in with the fish. Like the digital readout and easy to use temp settings. Heated up the water relatively quickly, although it always read about two degrees off what my two probe thermometers were reading. Could have adjusted for that, but the unit would get up to the set temp, light turn green, go a few tenths (according to the readout) higher, and then stop heating. Red light would come on, display just dropped off a tenth of a…

Pros
  • Comes with a limited manufacturer's warranty for added protection
Cons
  • The heater can be difficult to remove from the tank

Ok until it wasn’t good for me

I’ve had this for about 8 months in a 3 gallon shrimp tank. It had been accurate and maintained the temp tank fairly well up until this week. I noticed the tank seemed unusually warm when I touched the side, but when I checked the temp on the thermostat part, it was the set temp. I then checked a separate thermometer I have in the tank and it was 16 degrees warmer than what it was set to! I checked the heater/thermostat part again and pushed the button to see if anything happened and it was…

Pros
  • Temperature controller provides precise control over tank temperature
Cons
  • The heater can get knocked over easily

It only worked for 2 1/2 months

I loved this heater but I am having to replace it after only 2 1/2 months of use. That is very disappointing That's my feedback.

Pros
  • Safe and reliable for long-term use
Cons
  • Poor customer support and warranty policies

Works great on my review.

This is the perfect heater for my 5 gallon tank. It's small size and it's external led control is awesome. It is keeping the temperature I set and my fish are so happy now. We will get the bigger one for our 30 gallon take too whe we need a new one.

Pros
  • Provides added comfort for sensitive fish species
Cons
  • Can be difficult to determine the cause of any issues

Great but short cord

Works as expected but the cord is much too short. I had to get a different power strip to accommodate this item. Not effective for saltwater aquariums.

Pros
  • Can be used in conjunction with other aquarium accessories
Cons
  • Not effective for saltwater aquariums

Great little heaters!

I got this in my 5 gallon tank for my neo shrimp and it keeps temperatures on point. Very easy to operate and install. Would definitely buy again when I need another heater

Pros
  • Heating hatchling tank
Cons
  • Extremely short power cord, make sure your tank is very close to the outlet.

Great heater, especially for the price!

Works great and has great features! Even though the title says "small," it's not that small and actually is bigger than the heater it replaced, but still not "large" by any means.

Pros
  • Easy to set temperature.
Cons
  • Not energy-efficient

Worked great for 6 months

Worked great for about 6 months & then stopped working all together. I guess you get what you pay for in this case 🤷‍♀️ Thanks for attention.

Pros
  • Low noise operation won't disturb tank inhabitants or owners
Cons
  • Inconsistent temperature regulation
