Review on ✂ Premium Quality YAZEMKEL Left-Hand Scissors Stainless Steel 3-Pack: 8 Inch Blades for Effortless Cutting by Kristen Simpson

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Wanted to love these but.

I really, really wanted to love these scissors. Being left-handed is hard enough, but when I choose things that claim to be left-handed, I'm almost always disappointed. It must have been made by a right hander and tested them on the left hand because they are a bit uncomfortable when using them. Maybe it's me because of my short, fat fingers, but I expect a discount since I have the familiar orange-handled left-handed scissors and they don't hurt my hand that much. In fact, they resemble double scissors with a small indentation in the left-handed thumb area, which is kind of wrong. Also, the cut is just bad. The blade is either not sharpened to the center joint, or the center joint is in the wrong place (probably both), because trying to cut fabric with it is a no-go, and even cutting paper requires some fine-tuning. You have them open enough to cut just about anything well. I bought them for fabric but kept them as junk and bought utility scissors from the dollar store and unfortunately they cut a lot better. I won't buy them again. Two stars is generous, but it's a good price for three scissors if you need scissors for everyday use and don't feel frustrated with having to adjust the cut every time you want to cut something other than printer paper. I was trying to craft and they couldn't cut the cardboard or structure smoothly. Constantly getting stuck between the blades at the junction.

Pros
  • 8" length for easy handling 3 scissors with left handle for smooth, efficient cutting
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors
