I bought this historic reenactment mug as a cheap alternative to my prettier stoneware mugs. The first thing to note is that this is a teacup, so it's small. I was expecting that though, so I can't say anything bad about it. I ordered two mugs and one arrived with a crack in the wood on the side. It turned out to be a wood defect, not damage. The cup didn't leak very much and it turned out not to be an insect problem, but the cup won't last long with prolonged use. The second cup was fine. In general, it's not scary. I ordered them because they were cheap and you really get what you pay for.
